DR. KISHORE SHALLOW

Raised in Coull’s Hill, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Dr. Kishore Shallow embraced community values from an early age, excelling academically at Westwood Methodist Primary and St. Vincent Grammar School, while representing his country in cricket at youth and senior levels. After studying in England, he returned to work in Information Technology and served as a CARICOM Youth Ambassador, co-founding the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Young Professional Association. Dr. Shallow’s vision emphasizes equal opportunities and strong local economies, underpinned by excellence, integrity, and accountability. Known for his transparent, people-focused leadership, he promotes engagement in policymaking and aims to foster a prosperous and healthy nation.

The NDP will deliver on 5 key priorities to unleash our country’s potential and secure a brighter future for all.

Create more and better paid jobs

The NDP will make it a national mission to create more and better paid jobs. We will invest in education and skills training to prepare people for the jobs of today, for example creating the TVET centre of excellence.

Make our country safe again

Crime and violence are out of control. Homicide, robbery and praedial larceny are a blight on so many communities. We have a plan to tackle crime.

Build an economy that provides opportunity for all

We have a plan to build the four pillars of the economy: tourism, agriculture, the blue economy and the new economy.

Ensure everyone has healthcare they can trust

We want to create a health service that meets the needs of all and leaves no one behind. We will create a National Health Insurance Programme to provide coverage for all, establish a Medicines Purchase Fund to ensure critical medicines are available and increase investment in frontline services.

Improve our roads and infrastructure

We need to improve rapidly our infrastructure across the country. First, it’s critical to our national economic growth that farmers, businesses and others can get produce across the country.

North Leeward is a vibrant community filled with potential. However, we face challenges that have been overlooked for too long. Together, we can revitalize our region and ensure a brighter future for our families, children, and seniors.

Agriculture

  • Compensate displaced farmers from Richmond
  • Construct an Agro-processing Plant powered by solar energy
  • Address the huge issue of Predial Larceny
  • Provide better access to farms - feeder roads
  • Create market opportunities Globally
  • Incentivise young people to get into farming with grants
  • Set up an agricultural school with international affiliation

Tourism Projects

  • Construct a Cannabis Village in Richmond
  • Transform Troumaca Bottom Bay into a recreational & sports facility with a Jetty
  • Transform Cumberland into a commercially green capital
  • Transform Chateaubelair Beach
  • Facilitate the private sector to invest in tourist attractions
  • Convert Dark View Falls into a world-class recreational site
  • Develop the Chateaubelair petroglyphs site
  • Construct a bird-watching trail and jetty on Islet Island to drive eco-tourism

Transportation

  • Establish a Ferry service between North of the Island, St. Lucia, and Martinique
  • Construct Sybill Hill (Cumberland) road
  • Construct Hermitage Mountain road
  • Resurface Coulls Hill to Troumaca road
  • Implement an efficient transport system in a private-public sector partnership

Sports

  • Develop Sports Policy and Action Plan
  • Build a National High-Performance Academy
  • Attract Major Sporting Events e.g. CPL, Carifta etc.
  • Construct Playing Field in Troumaca
  • Light Sporting Facilities
  • Upgrade Playing Fields and Hard Courts
  • Put National Athletes on Retainers

Culture & Creatives

  • Construct a Centre of Excellence facility
  • Build a Studio for Music Production
  • Establish annual Festivals in North Leeward

  • Provide more opportunities for fisherfolk
  • Build a Call-Centre Hub
